This expedition combines one of the most beautiful treks in Ladakh with the ascent of a 6,000 meter peak. The journey passes through traditional villages, high altitude pastures, and spectacular Himalayan landscapes before reaching the summit of Dzo Jongo East with panoramic views of the Zanskar and Karakoram ranges.

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1 – Arrival in Leh (3,500 m)

Arrival at Leh airport and transfer to hotel. Rest and acclimatization. Evening visit to Shanti Stupa or Leh Palace.

Short walks around Leh and optional monastery visits. Expedition briefing and equipment preparation.

Drive along Indus valley to Chilling and start trek to Skiu village through beautiful canyon.

Follow the Markha river valley through fields and small monasteries to Markha village.

Gradual ascent through scenic valley with views of Kang Yatse peak.

Trek to the high altitude meadow of Nimaling surrounded by spectacular peaks.

Leave main trekking route and reach remote base camp of Dzo Jongo.

Basic mountaineering training with crampons, ice axe and rope techniques.

Early morning summit attempt of Dzo Jongo East with breathtaking Himalayan views.

Cross Kongmaru La pass (5,260 m) and descend to Shang Sumdo. Drive to Leh.

Transfer to Leh airport after breakfast.
